DALLAS/FORT WORTH MARKET

Dallas’ new slogan — “Live Large. Think Big.” — captures the essence and vitality of a city built on big dreams, freshly blazed trails and an attitude that all things are possible. This richly diverse city is the 6th largest US DMA.

  • Total population: 6.8 million
  • Total households: 2.4 million
  • Effective buying income: $147 billion

According to Forbes, Dallas-Ft. Worth is home to 46 Fortune 1000 companies, including 25 in the top 500. Brookings Institution ranks Dallas as one of 2009's Top 20 Strongest Metros in United States, based on its economy, employment and home values. In fact, Dallas-Fort Worth is growing. Between 2007 and 2008, it added more people than any other metro in the United States. This growth is due in large part to Dallas' Hispanic population. At 17% growth over 4 years, Hispanics are the fastest growing segment in this market.

Dallas is a young and affluent city. 55% of its residents are 44 years old or younger and households with income of $100,000+ are the fastest growing income segment. Dallasites are a white-collar, professional workforce and there are twice as many white-collar workers than blue-collar workers.

Dallas is a strong and important market, and the Dallas Morning News is a strong brand with the power to influence the Dallas community.

Tribune365 brings national brands to the Dallas/Fort Worth DMA in print, online, and broadcast.
